Oman Invites Investment in One-Stop Inspection and Clearance Station to Boost Logistics Sector

Muscat, 27 January – The Ministry of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology (MTCIT) has announced a key investment opportunity for the development, management, and operation of a state-of-the-art One-Stop Inspection and Clearance Station. The initiative, launched in collaboration with the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning, is designed to enhance Oman’s logistics capabilities and invites proposals from local and international logistics companies.
This project is a cornerstone of the Sultanate of Oman’s Logistics Strategy 2040, aimed at establishing world-class facilities for inspection, clearance, control, and handling services. By adhering to global best practices, the proposed station will ensure streamlined processes with high levels of safety and security, thereby contributing to the efficiency of Oman’s supply chain operations.
Aligned with Oman Vision 2040, which prioritizes private sector engagement, the Ministry is offering this investment opportunity on strategically located lands owned by MTCIT. The project is expected to maximize the utilization of these sites, support the transport sector, and enhance logistics operations in the Sultanate.
The station will also contribute to local economic growth by fostering innovation, creating jobs, and improving the overall competitiveness of Oman’s logistics sector. By integrating advanced infrastructure and technology, the project aims to position Oman as a regional hub for logistics and trade.
