
Muscat – In line with the celebration of Arab Tourism Day on February 25, the National Centre for Statistics and Information has released updated figures highlighting the growing number of Arab visitors to Oman.
By the end of 2024, Oman recorded approximately 1.95 million Arab tourists, reflecting a 1.3 percent increase compared to the previous year. These visitors accounted for 50.2 percent of the total inbound tourism to the country, underscoring the Sultanate’s growing appeal among regional travelers.
The six leading Arab nationalities visiting Oman in 2024 included:
- United Arab Emirates (UAE): 1.1 million visitors
- Yemen: 203,000 visitors
- Saudi Arabia: 109,900 visitors
- Egypt: 74,000 visitors
- Kuwait: 35,200 visitors
- Bahrain: 33,300 visitors
