At Muscat International Airport, ROP stops a narcotics smuggling attempt; a suspect is found concealing heroin in his stomach.

An Asian individual has been arrested by the Royal Oman Police (ROP) on suspicion of importing drugs into Oman.

Muscat — The Directorate General for Combating Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances, along with the Anti-Narcotics Department at Airport Security, arrested a person trying to transport 120 heroin capsules through Muscat International Airport, according to the ROP officials. To avoid detection, the suspect had hidden the illegal drugs inside his stomach. Following the arrest, the person is being subject to judicial proceedings.
