The 54th National Day of Oman coincides with the royal pardon.
MUSCAT: On Sunday, the Supreme Commander, His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, granted a special royal pardon to several inmates found guilty in various situations. His Majesty has pardoned 174 convicts, including foreign nationals, according to a statement released by the Royal Oman Police.
In honor of the inmates’ families and in conjunction with Oman’s 54th National Day, His Majesty has granted a royal pardon.
