Oman establishes a nationwide system of accreditation for medical facilities

To improve the quality of healthcare in the nation, the Ministry of Health established the Omani system for accrediting medical facilities.
MUSCAT: A framework that will be applicable to all health institutions nationwide, including public, private, and military healthcare facilities that have been internationally recognized by the International Society for Quality in Health Care (ISQua), was introduced at the launch ceremony, which was sponsored by His Highness Sayyid Marwan bin Turki bin Mahmoud Al Said, Governor of Dhofar. Its main goal is to improve the quality of processes and systems in healthcare facilities across Oman in order to improve the delivery of healthcare services.
