Washington, January 7 (ONA) – Apple has rolled out its first software updates of 2025, introducing iOS 18.2.1 and iPadOS 18.2.1 as bug-fix updates.
The updates, both marked with build number 22C161, follow the December 11, 2024 release of iOS 18.2 and iPadOS 18.2, which brought new features like Image Playground for Apple Intelligence, Genmoji, and Visual Intelligence, specifically for iPhone 16 users.
Unlike the previous feature-rich updates, iOS 18.2.1 and iPadOS 18.2.1 focus solely on addressing bugs and enhancing system stability. Apple’s release notes recommend all users install the updates for improved performance and reliability.
At this time, no updates have been announced for Apple Watch, macOS, Apple TV, Apple Vision Pro, or HomePod.
Apple is also anticipated to release the second developer beta builds of iOS 18.3 and iPadOS 18.3 later this week, hinting at further enhancements in the near future.
