In 2025, the Supreme Judicial Council convenes for the third time.

Sayyid Mohammed Sultan Al Busaidi, the Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Judiciary Council, presided over the council’s third meeting of the year (2025) today.

The meeting discussed a number of topics on the agenda in accordance with the Council’s mandate to supervise courts, judges, and the Public Prosecution Department. The overall aim is to improve the quality of judicial services and develop the digital infrastructure of the judicial sector to help support the implementation of prompt justice and enhance transparency.
The meeting also dealt with decisions related to the administrative and functional affairs of the Supreme Judiciary Council. It reviewed the organizational structure of the Supreme Judiciary Council after His Majesty the Sultan approved the same.
The meeting approved the royal orders in this area as well as procedures pertaining to the execution of responsibilities listed in the organizational structure. The development of laws and legislation pertaining to the Council’s course of action was also reviewed.
