Muscat: The Consumer Protection Authority (CPA) has issued a cautionary notice to the public, emphasizing the dangers of undergoing cosmetic procedures at unlicensed establishments.
In an official statement, the CPA urged consumers to prioritize their safety by choosing only licensed and authorized service providers. “The Consumer Protection Authority warns consumers to exercise caution and ensure that cosmetic procedures are performed exclusively at establishments approved by the relevant authorities,” the statement read.
The authority also highlighted the collective responsibility of consumer protection, encouraging individuals to report any unauthorized cosmetic service providers operating from apartments, private homes, or other unregulated locations. Reports can be submitted through the official channels of the CPA.
The warning comes as part of ongoing efforts to enhance consumer safety and prevent potential health risks associated with unlicensed cosmetic procedures.
