Bulgaria Appreciates Oman’s Role in Securing Release of Its Citizens

Muscat, 23 Jan (ONA) – Georg Georgiev, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria, has expressed deep appreciation for the Sultanate of Oman’s efforts in securing the release of Bulgarian nationals who were part of the Galaxy Leader ship’s crew.

In an official statement to Oman News Agency (ONA), Georgiev conveyed gratitude on behalf of the Bulgarian government, its people, and state institutions for Oman’s diplomatic support throughout the process. He emphasized that Oman’s intervention played a crucial role in ensuring the safe return of the detained individuals.

The Bulgarian Foreign Minister further highlighted that this successful mediation reflects not only strong diplomatic cooperation but also a deep bond of friendship between Oman and Bulgaria. He underscored the significance of such humanitarian and diplomatic initiatives in fostering global solidarity and mutual trust.
