The First Laparoscopic Gastric Sleeve Procedure Done Without Surgery at Royal Hospital Oman

The first non-surgical laparoscopic gastric sleeve procedure was carried out by a dedicated medical team from the Royal Hospital in collaboration with the National Diabetes Center’s Anaesthesia Department and Obesity Treatment Unit.

The procedure, often referred to as “gastric folding or gastric plication” in medical terminology, is intended to assist obese individuals in safely and effectively losing weight.

The procedure was an advancement in the Royal Hospital’s plan to offer the greatest medical care while staying up to date with the quick changes in the field of minor surgery.
