Oman Horizon Bulletin

Muscat, 26 Jan (ONA) — The Sultanate of Oman has officially condemned the recent attack on the Saudi Hospital in the city of Al Fashir, located in Sudan. In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Oman expressed deep condolences and sympathy to the government of Sudan and the families of the victims who have suffered due to this tragic event.
Oman strongly emphasized the importance of adhering to international humanitarian law, particularly in situations of armed conflict. The country highlighted that civilian areas, medical facilities, and healthcare personnel must be protected and shielded from the devastating consequences of conflict. The targeting of such vital services, especially in a time of crisis, is a clear violation of these fundamental laws.
In addition, Oman urged all parties involved in the conflict to engage in dialogue as the means to resolve their differences. The statement stressed the critical need for peaceful negotiations to safeguard Sudan’s stability and preserve the best interests of its people. Oman’s call reflects its commitment to the principles of peace and diplomacy in addressing global conflicts and promoting humanitarian standards.
Through this statement, Oman reaffirms its position in support of peace, international cooperation, and the protection of human rights, advocating for efforts to end violence and ensure that those in need, especially civilians and healthcare workers, are not subjected to harm.
