A commemorative silver coin featuring Oman Vision 2040 has been announced by the Central Bank of Oman (CBO).
August 18, Muscat (ONA) — A commemorative silver coin featuring Oman Vision 2040, which embodies the Sultanate of Oman’s objectives for comprehensive growth and a sustainable economy under wise leadership and a hopeful future vision, was unveiled by the Central Bank of Oman (CBO).
The coin’s distinctive design captures the essence of the country. The Sultanate of Oman’s (the Khanjar) insignia, the country’s name, the CBO’s name, the Arabic and English denomination, and the minting year are all displayed on the obverse side. A colored Oman Vision 2040 logo and other features derived from the Vision’s visual identity are displayed on the other side.
Oman Vision 2040 is a national framework for attaining progress and sustained prosperity, and this issue is part of the Central Bank of Oman’s efforts to celebrate important national anniversaries and increase awareness of its goals.
These commemorative coins are available for purchase via the Central Bank of Oman (Ruwi – Salalah – Sohar) or through Oman Post’s sales window at the Opera Galleria beginning on August 18, 2025. It is important to note that these coins are legal tender at face value.
