Oman Horizon Bulletin

As part of the comprehensive planning for the future Saham Agricultural City, the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning and the Royal Oman Police have announced a traffic survey.

Muscat – The survey, which will run from November 25 to December 5, 2024, aims to enhance community participation and gather data to contribute to the development of an integrated transportation network.

The survey will involve randomly stopping vehicles to fill out a questionnaire designed to analyse vehicle flow and travel patterns. The data collected will help evaluate current transportation movement and identify infrastructure needs, ensuring that future plans align with community needs and contribute to the success of the project.

The Ministry emphasised the importance of community input in making informed planning decisions that will connect the new city’s transportation network with its internal infrastructure. Residents and commuters are encouraged to participate, as their feedback will play a crucial role in shaping a transportation system that meets the ambitions of the local community and supports regional development.

The Saham Agricultural City project is expected to encompass an area of 65,000,000 square meters with a focus on blending agricultural development and urban planning.
