Saudi Arabia improves the quality of its labor market by accrediting more than 200,000 foreign workers.

Through the Saudi Professional Accreditation Program, the Ministry of Human Resources in Saudi Arabia has stated that 209,500 foreign employees have been accredited.

SAUDI ARABIA: Since its inception in 2022, this program has effectively addressed more than 1,000 occupations globally with the goal of improving service standards in the kingdom’s labor market.

According to the unified Saudi classification of occupations, the program is intended to validate the abilities and qualifications of foreign workers.

As part of its goals, the accreditation program intends to reach more nations and occupations, educating employers in the public and private sectors on the value of hiring competent and talented foreign workers. This will make it easier for these people to enter the Saudi labor market.

“Professional Verification” and “Professional Examination” are the two main services that make up the accreditation program. Within a maximum of 15 working days, the completely automated Professional Verification service seeks to validate the credentials and abilities of foreign workers in highly skilled positions. On the other hand, both prior to and following their arrival in Saudi Arabia, the Vocational Examination service assesses the abilities of medium- and low-skilled workers using both theoretical and practical assessments.

Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Egypt are the five nations that are currently recognized as significant labor exporters to Saudi Arabia as part of the Professional Accreditation Program. This program is a component of the Ministry of Human Resources’ larger initiatives to improve worker quality in the Saudi labor market, increase productivity, and keep unskilled labor from entering the market.
