Oman’s Ministry of Health Sets Deadline for Medical Supply Companies to Register

Oman Horizon Bulletin

Muscat: The Ministry of Health (MoH) in Oman has issued an official directive requiring all medical supply companies to register their businesses and products within a three-month deadline.

This mandate is in accordance with the Law Regulating the Practice of the Pharmacy Profession and Pharmaceutical Institutions (Royal Decree No. 51/2003) and its Executive Regulations (Ministerial Resolution No. 312/2020).

Mandatory Registration Process

The Ministry has specified that only registered companies will be allowed to:

✅ Submit applications for medical supply registrations
✅ Request import approvals
✅ Apply for product release clearance

To comply with this regulation, companies must first register their facilities through the Ministry of Health’s official digital platform.

Ensuring Compliance

The MoH emphasized that failure to complete the registration within the given timeframe may result in restrictions on business operations. The move aims to streamline the regulation of medical supplies, ensure the quality and safety of healthcare products, and enhance transparency in the sector.

Medical supply companies operating in Oman are urged to adhere to the deadline to avoid potential disruptions. For further details, businesses can refer to the Ministry’s electronic portal or contact the relevant authorities.
