Oman Horizon Bulletin

Washington, D.C. – Former U.S. President Donald Trump has extended his congratulations to Dan Bongino following his confirmation as the Deputy Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
In a social media post, Trump praised Bongino’s dedication to law enforcement and national security, stating:
“Great news for Law Enforcement and American Justice! Dan Bongino, a man of incredible love and passion for our Country, has just been named the next DEPUTY DIRECTOR OF THE FBI, by the man who will be the best ever Director, Kash Patel. Dan has a Master’s Degree in Psychology from C.U.N.Y. and an MBA from Penn State. He was a member of the New York Police Department (New York’s Finest!), a highly respected Special Agent with the United States Secret Service, and is now one of the most successful Podcasters in the Country, something he is willing and prepared to give up in order to serve. Working with our great new United States Attorney General, Pam Bondi, and Director Patel, Fairness, Justice, Law and Order will be brought back to America, and quickly. Congratulations Dan!”
Bongino responded on X (formerly Twitter), expressing gratitude:
“Thank you, Mr. President, Attorney General Bondi, and Director Patel.”
Who is Dan Bongino?
Born on December 4, 1974, Daniel John Bongino is a prominent conservative commentator, radio host, and author. He has hosted The Dan Bongino Show on Rumble and previously anchored Unfiltered with Dan Bongino on Fox News until April 2023.
Before his media career, Bongino served as a New York Police Department (NYPD) officer and later as a Special Agent in the United States Secret Service, where he was part of the Presidential Protection Division. His law enforcement and national security experience have positioned him as a strong advocate for law and order.
New FBI Director Kash Patel Issues Internal Directive
Meanwhile, newly appointed FBI Director Kash Patel has directed Federal Bureau employees to temporarily pause responses to an email from the Trump administration requesting a list of their accomplishments, CNN reported.
The email, which was sent to federal workers, asked them to detail their key achievements and submit them to the Office of Personnel Management. Patel’s internal communication instructed FBI employees not to respond until further notice:
“The FBI, through the Office of the Director, is in charge of all of our review processes and will conduct reviews in accordance with FBI procedures. When and if further information is required, we will coordinate the responses. For now, please pause any responses.”
The appointment of Kash Patel as FBI Director and Dan Bongino as his deputy signals a significant shift in leadership at the agency. With Attorney General Pam Bondi also taking office, the new administration aims to implement policies focused on justice, accountability, and national security reforms.
A New Direction for the FBI?
The leadership changes in the FBI reflect a broader restructuring of key institutions under the Trump administration. With Bongino’s appointment, many expect the agency to prioritize transparency, crime prevention, and law enforcement integrity.
As the new FBI leadership settles in, the agency’s approach to ongoing investigations, national security concerns, and internal policies will be closely watched by policymakers, legal experts, and the public.
