Explosions Target Empty Buses in Tel Aviv Suburb; Authorities Suspect Terror Attack

Tel Aviv, Israel – Multiple explosions hit three empty buses in Bat Yam, a southern suburb of Tel Aviv, in what authorities are calling a suspected terrorist attack. Israeli police confirmed that no casualties were reported, as the buses were parked and unoccupied at the time of the blasts.

Authorities Investigate the Incident

Israeli law enforcement quickly responded to the scene, deploying police forces and bomb disposal units to investigate the source of the explosions and search for potential suspects.

In an official statement, Israeli police reported:

“Preliminary report — Suspected terror attack. Multiple reports have been received of explosions involving several buses at different locations in Bat Yam.”

The statement further urged the public to remain vigilant and avoid the affected areas while authorities continue their investigation.

Israeli media sources also reported that two additional explosive devices were found and successfully neutralized by bomb disposal teams.

Government Response and Security Measures

Following the explosions, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was briefed on the situation, and the Israeli Defense Ministry immediately ordered increased military operations in the occupied West Bank in response to the attack.

Defense Minister Israel Katz issued a statement, saying:

“In light of the serious attempted attacks in the Gush Dan area by Palestinian terrorist organizations against the civilian population in Israel, I have instructed the IDF to intensify operations to thwart terrorism in the Tulkarem refugee camp and all refugee camps in Judea and Samaria.”

Additionally, Israel’s Transport Minister directed the Public Transit Authority to conduct security inspections across all forms of public transportation, including buses, trains, and light-rail services.
