Oman Joins Kuwait’s Inauguration as Arab Capital of Culture and Media 2025

Kuwait, 13 Feb – The Sultanate of Oman participated in the official launch of Kuwait as the Arab Capital of Culture and Media for 2025, held at the Jaber Al Ahmed Cultural Centre in Kuwait.

Oman’s delegation to the event was led by Dr. Abdullah Nassir Al Harrasi, Minister of Information, highlighting the country’s strong cultural ties with Kuwait and its commitment to fostering Arab cultural heritage.

Celebrating Arab Culture and Heritage

As part of the opening ceremony, attendees witnessed a historical theatrical performance titled “The Ocean of the Earth”, which showcased the region’s rich history and cultural legacy. A dedicated segment within the performance honored Oman’s deep-rooted connections with Kuwait, reflecting the brotherly ties between the two nations.

The performance also provided a visual journey through Oman’s diverse landscapes, highlighting its plains, oases, beaches, and mountains. Additionally, it paid tribute to the legacy of Omani sailors, whose maritime adventures have played a vital role in shaping the region’s history.

Oman’s participation underscores its dedication to preserving and promoting Arab culture while reinforcing its longstanding diplomatic and cultural ties with Kuwait.
