Oman Announces Over 1,000 New Retail Jobs, Launches Skill-Development Program

MUSCAT: The Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion, in collaboration with the Ministry of Labour, has made significant strides to support Oman’s retail sector.

A total of 1,157 new job opportunities have been created in the retail industry, marking a major boost to employment. Alongside this, the launch of the “Itqan” Program aims to empower Omani youth by equipping them with the skills needed to excel in leadership roles within the industrial sector.

The “Itqan” program focuses on enhancing the skill sets of Omani workers through hands-on training. In partnership with local factories and industrial facilities, the initiative is designed to strengthen workforce readiness and build expertise in key areas, ultimately preparing participants for greater roles in Oman’s industrial landscape.
