Omani Startup Accelerator Graduates New Cohort of Entrepreneurs, Showcasing Market-Ready Innovations

Muscat, January 28 – The Omani Startup Accelerator marked a significant milestone today by celebrating the graduation of a new batch of aspiring entrepreneurs. The event, organized in collaboration with the Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises Development (ASMED) and the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates (Madayn), through its Industrial Innovation Academy, highlighted the progress of innovative Omani startups.
The ceremony was held under the patronage of Abdulsalam Mohammed Al Murshidi, Chairman of the Oman Investment Authority (OIA), who praised the remarkable growth and market readiness of the participating startups. He emphasized that many of these innovative projects have now reached a stage where they are ready for expansion and export, contributing to Oman’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Overview of the Program and Achievements
This latest batch included 46 startups, all operating in key sectors such as tourism, real estate, health, and food security. The accelerator program spanned four months, during which participants underwent an extensive 290-hour training regimen designed to equip them with the skills and knowledge necessary to scale their businesses.
The course covered a range of essential topics, including:
- Entrepreneurial fundamentals and business development strategies
- Marketing, brand-building, and investment rounds
- Product development and market feasibility assessment
- Implementation of innovative solutions for business sustainability
As a result of this intensive training, the accelerator successfully developed 8 products in the “idea” stage and 13 products in the “pre-seed” stage, preparing them for market entry. Additionally, 7 products in the “idea” track were recognized for meeting key market-value characteristics, making them viable for immediate launch in their respective industries.

The Omani Startup Accelerator plays a pivotal role in fostering a culture of innovation and supporting emerging businesses in the Sultanate.
