Over 71,000 passengers are transported by Mwasalat during Oman’s National Day festivities.

During the National Day 54 holiday, Mwasalat, Oman’s National Transport Company, recorded remarkable transportation stats.

MUSCAT : The company successfully transported more than 65,400 passengers via buses and over 5,900 passengers via ferries throughout the celebratory period.

As per the transportation statistics released by Mwasalat for the National Day holidays, over 14,400 passengers utilised bus services on November 22 alone – 7,500 of them travelled on the popular Route A1 (Ruwi – Muscat International Airport – Al Mabelah).

In addition, over 5,900 passengers were carried on Mwasalat’s ferry services, with 1,217 vehicles also being transferred during the period. The Shannah-Masirah ferry route alone saw more than 1,700 passengers.

Cargo transport was also significant, with a total of 345.7 tons of cargo moved during the holiday.
