Regulations for integrated tourist complex licensing are amended by Oman’s tourism ministry.

Ministerial Decision No. 1152/1/2/402/2024, issued by the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, modifies several of the clauses of Ministerial Decision No. 136/2021.

Muscat – The decision focuses on the formation and work system of the government committee responsible for licensing Integrated Tourism Complexes (ITCs) in Oman.

Article One of Ministerial Resolution No. 136/2021, which previously outlined the structure of the licensing committee, has been revised. The new formation includes the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism for Tourism as the committee chair. The committee will also consist of several key members, including Undersecretary of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning for Urban Planning, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion for Investment Promotion, Director General of Criminal Investigations at the Royal Oman Police, Director General of Planning at the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, Director of the Environmental Planning Department at the Environment Authority, and Director of the Legal Department at the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism
The revised committee may also seek external expertise to attend meetings, though those invited will not have voting rights.
