During the 54th National Day festivities, the Oman Across Ages Museum welcomed about 25,000 visitors, allowing both domestic and foreign audiences to learn about Oman’s rich history.

Muscat – Located in the Wilayat of Manah in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate, the museum serves as a comprehensive tourist destination that highlights Oman’s ancient history, diverse geographical and geological heritage, and its modern achievements.

According to Eng. Al Yaqzan bin Abdullah al Harthy, Director-General of the Oman Across Ages Museum, the museum’s exhibits reflect Oman’s evolving identity and its blessed renaissance through advanced technological displays.

The museum offers a wide range of services and facilities, making it a year-round attraction for visitors. To accommodate the surge in visitors during the National Day holidays, the museum implemented several measures, including increasing staffing levels, involving the local community in volunteer and investment activities, extending visiting hours, and enabling advance bookings via the museum’s website. These enhancements were designed to ensure a smooth experience for those exploring Oman’s history through the museum’s exhibition halls, such as the History Hall and the Renaissance Hall.

Eng. Al Harthy also noted improvements to the ticketing process with the introduction of electronic booking services, making the museum more accessible to a wider audience.
In addition to the holiday influx, the museum also hosted more than 300 bikers from across the Arab world who visited as part of the ‘Love Oman Ride,’ organized by the Nizwa Bikers Club.
