As part of Oman’s 54th National Day celebrations, the famous water fountains at Al Bustain and Muttrah Corniche have been revived after years of inactivity.
Muscat: The Muscat Municipality’s efforts enabled the renovation of these cherished landmarks. The fountains, which have long served as emblems of peace and beauty in the well-known areas of Muttrah and Al Bustan, have not been used for a number of years. But in order to revitalize them in time for National Day, the Municipality embarked on a significant renovation project. With the fountains at Al Bustan and Muttrah Corniche lit and running, residents and tourists to Muscat can now take in the calming images and sounds of flowing water, creating a joyous environment for the event. The fountains are photographed by VK Shafeer in all their splendor.
