Muscat: In response to the ongoing tropical weather conditions, authorities in Oman have announced that distance education will be implemented across all higher education institutions and public and private schools on Wednesday, October 16, 2024.
The Oman News Agency (ONA) confirmed the decision in a statement, noting that the system will be activated in the governorates of Muscat, North and South Al Sharqiyah, Ad Dakhiliyah, South and North Al Batinah, as well as the mountainous areas of Al Buraimi and Al Dhahirah.
The move aims to ensure the safety of students and staff as the effects of the tropical storm persist across these regions.
